Welcome to Needy Home Academy (NHA), a beacon of hope and quality education founded in 2004 by R. Chance and his wife, R. Angam. Inspired by a profound vision to support the poor and needy, NHA is dedicated to providing holistic development through exceptional education.

Our journey began in a humble setting within a government UJB School at Mapao Zingtun, formerly known as Mapao Khullen, a village situated 21 kilometers from the capital of Manipur, India. Despite its proximity to the bustling capital, the village remained neglected by government initiatives. In its early years, NHA operated alongside the Govt. UJB School, gradually expanding and upgrading its facilities each year with the unwavering support of the village authority, women society, and Church authority. Recognizing the pressing need for an independent institution, Needy Home Academy officially separated from the government school in 2013.

Our mission is a testament to sacrificial effort and commitment to uplift the underprivileged children who lack access to esteemed educational institutions in urban areas. From our modest beginning with just 50 students and 5 teachers, we have grown significantly, now educating 544 students in 2024. Our campus is equipped with all necessary amenities to support both day scholars and boarders, ensuring a nurturing and conducive learning environment.

What sets Needy Home Academy apart is the divine presence that permeates our institution. We believe in the peace and joy of God guiding our mission, and we are convinced that each student is sent to us as part of His greater plan. Every year, before the academic session begins, we pray for God to send us those He has chosen to be blessed through our school. We see our association with every student and their family as a divine appointment, integral to fulfilling His wonderful plans and purposes.
